  1. Every tile has its own pop-up menu, called a tile menu. The tile menus let you do many different things with tiles.

  3. 窶｢ Click and hold: Hold the mouse button down on a tile to see its menu. After a brief delay of about a second, the menu will appear.

  5. 窶｢ 竚˜-click a tile to see its menu instantly. This is the same as click-and-hold, but faster.

  7. 窶｢ Control-click a tile to see its contextual menu, which is slightly different from its normal tile menu.

  9. Tile menus vary, but all tile and contextual menus have the same first eight items:

  11. 窶｢ Open (Item Name) 窶” Selecting this is the same as clicking the tile: the tile窶冱 item is opened and brought forward.
  12. 窶｢ Get Info switches to the Finder and opens the Info window for the tile窶冱 item.
  13. 窶｢ Find Original opens the folder that contains the item, and selects and displays the item in the Finder.
  14. 窶｢ Remember Tile makes this a remembered tile. See Creating Remembered Tiles for details. If this is already a remembered tile, this menu item will be 窶廡orget Tile.窶
  15. 窶｢ Hide Tile makes the tile invisible without deleting it. See Hiding Tiles for details.
  16. 窶｢ Tile Color lets you select a custom background color for this tile.
  17. 窶｢ Edit Tile Text lets you change the text displayed on a tile. See Editing Tile Text for details.
  18. 窶｢ Hot Key lets you assign or remove a hot key for this tile. See Setting Hot Keys for details.
